The Vought O2U/O3U Corsair series of aircraft was among the most versatile and reliable scout/observation planes that ever flew. In the interwar era, when a military aircraft’s lifespan was measured in small doses (a few years at best), Vought’s Corsairs flew for over a decade with the US Navy and even longer with the naval and air forces of nearly a dozen nations.
Other than two export models, none survive. A crying shame. A reproduction was recently completed, so there is that.
