Update: We have a Winner! The base in question is Pendleton Field, Oregon. We tip our chapeau to “Guillaume” for being the first to correctly identify this week’s mystery airfield.
This mystery airfield (looking as if it fell out of the sky and landed in the middle of nowhere) is this week’s challenge. So, be the first to name this place and you will win the undying admiration of your aviation-minded colleagues.
Bob,
Your guess was pretty good because
I lived in Mountain Home, and it solidly falls in the category of bases that look like they “fell from the sky”. It’s nowhere near a mountain; more apt is it’s original name from the days of the Old West & Oregon Trail: “Rattlesnake Station”. Rattlesnakiest place I’ve ever been, but not a name that was going attract future residents.
Mountain Home, IN??

March Field, Riverside, CA?
(My clue is hills and picture cantage point, though it could be from an airplane).
