Given the variety of aircraft surrounding the hangar (helicopters, patrol planes, fighters, etc, one is inclined to believe this airfield is home to a test or overhaul facility. At lower right in photo #1 sits the fuselage of an F6F Hellcat.Ā
So what’s the name of the place? Let’s hear from you aviation experts. Because…unlike other “Mystery Airfields” posted here before, I have no idea of the location of THIS mystery field.

No idea where it might be, but I think it’s a Sunday! š

A difficult one to guess where; the only clue for me is the base elevation (absl) posted on the hangers left side. I matches MCAS Cherry Pt in the early 50s. Note that above sea levels were an average and could vary over time. Anyway, Cherry Pt was and is a ‘depot’ for CINCLANT.
Please be kind if my ‘guesstament’ is way off. š dj

Your deductive reasoning skills are helping to narrow down the possible candidates. Going to dig around some more and see if Cherry Point in the 1950s is the place.
