For those of you who don’t already know, the F-4 Phantom generated a lot of nicknames: “Double Ugly”, “Rhino”, and “Bent-wing Bug Sucker” being a few that come to mind. But, there was also the “Pig.” This patch dates from the early 1970’s when the 401st flew the F-4C at Torrejon Air Base in sunny España.
